The Cape Central swimming and diving team traveled to Lindbergh High School in St. Louis on Saturday to take part in the Flyer Invitational. After the twelve events, the Tigers found themselves in fifth place with 164. Kirkwood ran away with the meet, winning with 612 points, 215 points more than second place Marquette.
Daniel Seabaugh was the lone first place event finisher for the Tigers. He won the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:57.09. He edged a swimmer from MICDS by .11 of a second. Seabaugh’s first split was his fastest at 26.02.
The 200 yard medley relay team of Jack Maxton, Ben Steelman, Seabaugh, and Jacob Bening finished in third place with a time of 1:44.97. Bening’s anchor leg was the fastest at 22.30.
