The Cape Central cross country program was represented by one individual at Saturday’s State meet held in Columbia.  Nathan Caldwell competed in the Class 4 boys race.

Caldwell ran his best time of the season in the race at Gans Creek cross country course.  He crossed the finish line in 17:03.30 which placed him in 129th place.

“It was an amazing experience,” Caldwell said after the race.  “I’ve been working towards this for years, and it was lots of fun!  I got to spend some time with the coaches and even meet up with some graduated runners!  I had a great time running the course.  While not as fast as I was aiming for, I still PRd and it was so unique.  It was definitely very memorable, and a day I will remember for years!”

Caldwell has one more year to run for the Tigers, being a junior this season.
