The goal of Ameritime Sports is to put the spotlight on high school athletes and athletic teams by catering ALL articles, photos and additional information towards the individual school. We do this by either attending events, or receiving information from coaches, and then writing event articles from the perspective of that school. We will then place the information on the Ameritime Sports website.
For example, Jefferson and Ste. Genevieve could play a volleyball game against each other. By receiving information from both schools, Ameritime Sports would write two articles…one from the Jefferson side of things, and one from Ste. Genevieve’s. If a fan of the Blue Jays accesses the Jefferson article, he or she would see a story that features comments from the Jays’ coach and players, and highlighted accomplishments by the Jefferson team.
Contact your school administrator or athletic director and express your interest in your school becoming an Ameritime Sports client.
The concept of Ameritime Sports came as a combined effort among Todd Gurnow, Mark Benson, and David Shaw. Todd had coordinated the Festus High School athletic website for two years. After retiring after 25 years of teaching at Festus, Todd wanted to continue his love for sports writing and help bring exposure to schools around the local area, and eventually, the entire state of Missouri.
With the help of Mark and David, Ameritime Sports was created. This groundbreaking method of reporting, centered around customizing information specifically for each client school, allows fans and communities to rally around their schools and their student-athletes.
In August of 2018, the first three client schools, Ste. Genevieve, Jefferson R-7, and Hillsboro, came on board. One year later, Cape Central High School became the fourth Ameritime Sports client school.
